  • Euchologion (Trebnik) – the principal service book, whose composition dates from at least the 8th century. It is so called because it was first written on a long parchment wound around a stick and was designed for the use of the priest and deacon, since it contained the fixed parts of the Liturgy. It also contains details of the other sacraments, together with various prayers and blessings used on occasion. (Day, Peter. The Liturgical Dictionary of Eastern Christianity. Wellwood, 1993. P. 94). The book forms part of the collection of old prints and special collections of UCU Library. The book is in a new hardcover, restored. Some first and last leaves are missing. In the mid-20th century, the book belonged to the church in the village of Pidmykhailivtsi [Ivano-Frankivsk oblast, Ukraine]. The book contains marginal notes in black and blue ink.
